Patti O'Brien has been painting most of her life. She trained at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis College of Art and Design,  Como Park Art Education, Artistry, The Arboretum and for the past decade at the Minnesota School of Botanical Art.

 

While Patti paints in a variety of mediums, her preference for painting botanicals is  water color on 300# hot press paper. Most of her landscapes are painted with soft pastels on Wallis paper, Art Spectrum or Illustration Board.

 

Her work has been shown at the Great River Chapter of Botanical Artists,Inspired by Nature venues, along with other local exhibits, including the Saint Paul Art Crawl, the Tangletown Art Crawl, Artistry in Bloomington, Mn, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
